Our much-anticipated surprise concert on 11th of October is unveiled and it is set to be one of the jewels of the Festival.
The evening brings together three extraordinary artists for a celebration of Spain’s passion, colour, and fire. Slovenian virtuoso cellist Urška Horvat conjures the Iberian spirit in Manuel de Falla’s Spanish Folk Songs and Debussy’s mysterious, sun-drenched Cello Sonata. Rising opera star Dilan Şaka, fresh from La Scala in Milan and making her St Maxime Festival debut, ignites the stage with arias set in Spain — from Bizet’s Carmen to Verdi’s Don Carlo — alongside songs by the great master of Spanish song, Fernando Obradors. At the piano, Festival artistic director Pavel Timofeyevsky lends his virtuosic touch and flair for storytelling.
This glittering programme promises a journey through Spain’s musical landscapes — from flamenco fire to tender song, from the cello’s haunting voice to the piano’s shimmering colours.
Expect the unexpected. Let yourself be swept away.
For one unforgettable evening, experience the sounds and soul of Spain as if Seville itself had come alive in music.
Let yourself be surprised and immersed in a program that flows from heart to heart, breaking the barriers between performers and audience.
