Few cities have shaped our cultural imagination quite like Vienna. Composers, painters, architects, writers and thinkers lived almost side by side, creating a world in which music and ideas travelled from concert halls to private salons and coffeehouses.

At the centre of our evening is Franz Schubert, whose music was famously shared among friends in intimate gatherings that became known as Schubertiades. It is a tradition that feels remarkably close to the spirit of Notable: extraordinary music experienced up close, surrounded by conversation, friendship and a sense of discovery.

But our journey through Vienna does not stop with the music. We’ll explore the connections between its musical life and the extraordinary creative world that followed - from the elegance of the nineteenth-century salon to the artists of the Vienna Secession, who challenged convention and imagined something radically new.

And because Vienna should never be experienced through music alone, the evening will unfold over free-flowing drinks and gourmet canapés, with a nod to the flavours and pleasures of the city that gave us its legendary café culture - and, of course, strudel.
