Join us for the next talk in our breakfast series where Andrey Movchan, a prominent economist, delves into the delicate balance and inherent conflict between the major principles of the post 2WW geopolitics and global economic order, short-term interests of the bureaucratic elites and long-term interests of the nations. He will discuss the role of inertia and biases in the formation of the Western international policies and debate how they affect the decisions along with the short-term interests of decision makers.

He will propose his views on the future development of the global geoeconomic system and share his concerns about the role and position of the collective West in it - as well as why he believes that the farther future is much better for the West than the near one.

Andrey Movchan is a renowned financier and economist, founder of "Movchans' Group" investment company, formerly the Executive Director of investment bank "Troika Dialog" and the founder and Chairman of the Board of "Renaissance Investment Management." He was a head of economic program of the Carnegie Foundation.

He has been a recipient of numerous awards and honors, and the author of the books "Russia in the era of post-truth" and "Damned Economies", along with many articles and lectures on Economics and Finance. He has been twice awarded the "Presszvanie" award for his contribution to business journalism and is a graduate of the University of Chicago (Booth School of Business).
