This summer, Notable invites you to its flagship Summer Garden Party in Belsize Park — an immersive evening of opera, fine food, flowing drinks, and elegant celebration in a stunning private mansion and garden in North London.
At the heart of the evening is Onegin — Notable’s signature One Hour Opera experience, created and directed by virtuoso pianist and storyteller Pavel Timofeyevsky.
Rather than presenting a traditional three-hour opera, Pavel reimagines Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece into a powerful one-hour performance preserving the full emotional journey of the original work: the passion, heartbreak, tension, beauty, and most iconic music — all distilled into an intimate and cinematic format designed for modern audiences.
An emotionally immersive adaptation designed to feel intimate, cinematic, and accessible whether you are completely new to opera or a lifelong lover of classical music.
Free-flowing wine, champagne, and drinks throughout the evening alongside a gourmet themed feast, freshly prepared on the day by The Original Menu chef team.
A glamorous yet intimate evening in one of North London’s most beautiful private mansions, where guests can enjoy candlelight, music, conversation, elegant interiors, and a welcoming social atmosphere.
In this bespoke one-hour reimagining of Eugene Onegin, director and arranger Pavel Timofeyevsky distils Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece to its emotional core. Following a standing ovation at its French premiere at the Fêtes Musicales Sainte-Maxime in May, the production receives its London premiere on 25 June.
Created entirely by Timofeyevsky - from orchestration and montage to the dramatic structure itself - this auteur reinterpretation frames the opera as Tatiana’s memory. The drama begins at Prince Gremin’s ball, where Tatiana’s sudden recognition of Onegin triggers a flashback through the defining moments of their lives.
The orchestral score is reimagined for piano and solo violin, with the violin acting as a tender emotional mirror to Tatiana’s inner world. Five internationally acclaimed singers perform not only the principal roles of Onegin, Tatiana, Lensky, Olga and Gremin, but also transform into the guests, revellers and witnesses who populate the opera’s society.
Collectively, the cast’s experience spans many of the world’s leading stages, including the Mariinsky Theatre, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Royal Opera House and the Latvian National Opera.
Far from a reduction, this is Onegin undiluted: all the opera’s most beloved arias and scenes remain, concentrated into an intense and devastating theatrical experience.
Building on Notable’s acclaimed chamber reimaginings of La Bohème and Tosca, Timofeyevsky brings a uniquely personal perspective to Tchaikovsky’s opera through his deep connection to the Russian language, culture, and Pushkin’s epic poem — creating a reading that is at once radically fresh and profoundly faithful to the spirit of the original.
Unlike a formal opera house experience, Notable evenings are designed to feel social, welcoming, and immersive — bringing together world-class music with the atmosphere of a private cultural salon.
Guests are free to enjoy drinks throughout the evening, mingle in the gardens before and after the performance, and experience opera at close proximity in an intimate setting rarely possible in traditional venues.
